Biography
Born as Praveen Kumar, THE NOTORIOUS VIBE was from Bangalore, India. THE Notorious Vibe developed an interest in House Music after hearing so much good music at the times. It was the era of Frankie Knuckles, Kenny Dope, Gregory, Robbiera and of course Louis Vega that inspired THE NOTORIOUS VIBE to want to follow suit and produce good house music just like them. He then learned the art of deejaying in 2012 and immediately started playing around taverns and talent shows in his township, but it wasn't enough for an ambitious musical genius.
A self-trained disc jockey, THE NOTORIOUS VIBE has spent years making people groove to his tunes. Having grown up listening to the best in music from retro to rock, country and old skool hip-hop, THE NOTORIOUS VIBE decided at a young age that the music industry needed to make space for him, because he joined in it. He got his hands on a dj mixer at 20, he knew exactly what part of the industy would be making place for him. He began by doing gigs for friends at their house parties and such during his days in college. He juggled college and his passion for music by performing at various college functions and even joining a team called VISION HIRE. Knowing the road he wanted his career to take, THE NOTORIOUS VIBE worked with a leading sound company to increase his technical know-how. But he never stopped playing. Slowly but surely, he built a steady and dependable name for himself in the private circuit in Bangalore and around India and in 2014 started playing commercially. He hasn't looked back since then. Unless of course he is going through his old records.
THE NOTORIOUS VIBE got into DJing to fulfill a life-long dream of sharing his kind of music to the world. He adds his own style to EDM and Hiphop house and Bollywood. He believes that melodic rhythms and entrall-ing vocals make tracks great and his sets almost always start off with Deep House, Oldskool Hiphop and / or Progressive leading to head-bobbing, firstpumping Mainroom House and Pop EDM.
